Cookies Settings
Short version
maciejcekalo.com uses only a small set of performance cookies tied to Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no profiling. Because the use is minimal and anonymous, the site does not show a cookie consent banner. If you'd rather not have anything set at all, you can disable cookies in your browser — the site will still work exactly the same.
What is set
Vercel Analytics. Collects aggregated, anonymous pageview and referrer data to show which pages are being read. It does not identify you personally and does not build a cross-site profile.
Vercel Speed Insights. Measures Core Web Vitals — loading speed, interaction responsiveness, and layout stability — on real devices so the site can be kept fast. These measurements are aggregated and anonymous.
That's the whole list. No third-party advertising networks, no social login trackers, no retargeting pixels.
Why there is no consent banner
Cookie consent banners exist to give you a choice when a site would otherwise set cookies that identify you or track you across the web. The cookies on this site don't do either — they just record performance and aggregate page views. Showing a banner for that kind of use would add friction without giving you a meaningful choice.
If the site ever adds cookies that go beyond performance and aggregated analytics, a consent flow will be added before those cookies are set.
How to disable cookies
Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies for a specific site. The setting is usually found under Privacy & Security, Site Settings, or a similarly named menu. Disabling cookies for this site will not break any feature — the site is fully usable with no cookies at all, just without the performance measurements.
If you use a privacy-focused browser or extension (Brave, Firefox Strict mode, uBlock Origin, etc.), analytics requests are commonly blocked out of the box — and that's fine. The site is built to work either way.
