Privacy Policy

maciejcekalo.com is a personal portfolio and commissioning site run by Maciej Cekalo. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit the site or get in touch, how it's used, and who it's shared with. The short version: the site collects as little as possible, uses it only to respond to you or to understand how pages perform, and never sells anything to anyone.

Contact form. When you submit the contact form, the site collects the name, email address, and message you provide. Nothing in the form is optional beyond what the form asks for, and no additional fields are hidden.

Analytics. Page views, referrer, device type, country, and basic performance metrics (Core Web Vitals) are collected via Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. These are aggregated and anonymous — no cookies that identify you personally, no cross-site tracking, and no advertising profile.

Server logs.Vercel (the hosting provider) keeps short-lived request logs for operational purposes — IP address, user agent, requested path, and timestamp. These are retained on Vercel's standard schedule.

Contact form submissions are used to reply to your inquiry. Full stop. They are not added to any newsletter, mailing list, or marketing automation. If you ask a question and get an answer, that's the end of the exchange unless you write back.

Analytics are used to understand which pages people read and whether the site is fast enough on real devices. They inform design decisions — not audience targeting.

The site relies on three third-party services to operate:

Vercel — hosts the site and provides analytics and speed insights. Your request logs and analytics events pass through Vercel.

Resend— delivers contact-form submissions to the site owner's inbox. Your name, email, and message transit Resend so they can be turned into an email.

Gmail — where the resulting email lands. Inquiries live in Gmail until the owner archives or deletes them.

No data is sold, rented, licensed, or shared with any third party beyond these operational providers.

Contact emails are kept indefinitely in Gmail so that past conversations can be searched and referenced if you come back with follow-up work. Analytics and request logs are retained on the schedule defined by Vercel's standard product retention.

You can request a copy of any personal data the site holds about you, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing hello@maciejcekalo.com. Deletion requests are honored within a reasonable timeframe — typically a few days. If you're in a jurisdiction that grants additional rights (e.g. the EU, UK, or California), those rights apply and will be respected.
